Furniture refinishing in NYC.

Worn finishes stripped, wood repaired, then stained and sealed to the color you want. Chairs, tables, cabinets and antiques.

Bring the wood back

Scratches, water rings, sun fade and cloudy finishes can usually be fixed. We strip the old finish, repair the wood, and apply a new stain and topcoat that suits how the piece is used.

Repairs while it’s apart

Loose joints are reglued, cracks filled and missing pieces remade before refinishing, so the piece is solid as well as beautiful.

Finishes

Lacquer for tables that see daily use, oil and wax for a natural feel, and stain matching when a piece needs to match the rest of a room.

Upholstered pieces

Chairs and sofas with exposed wood can be refinished and reupholstered together.

Refinishing questions

Can you match a stain to my other furniture?

Yes. Bring or send a picture of the piece to match and we’ll mix the stain to it.

Is refinishing safe for antiques?

Sometimes the original finish should be cleaned and kept rather than stripped. We’ll advise before doing anything.

Can a table top be refinished on its own?

Yes, tops alone are a common job.

A picture of the piece and the damage is enough to start. Written price, usually the same day.
